Tuna and White Bean Salad
A Florentine classic, tuna and white bean salad can be made mostly with pantry ingredients and can be on the table in less than 15 minutes.
Why This Recipe Works
With the idea of saving time, we reached for a can of cannellini beans for our tuna and white bean salad recipe. We tried the tuna and white bean salad recipe with water-packed and olive oil–packed tuna and found the latter to be far superior—it had a rich, deep flavor and a velvety texture that was essential to the success of the salad. For seasoning, we added minced red onion for pungency, parsley for color and fresh herbal notes, extra-virgin olive oil for richness, red wine vinegar for acidity, and, of course, salt and pepper.
