Why This Recipe Works
When developing the dressing for our Thai-style beef salad recipe, we started with traditional fish sauce and added complementary lime juice, brown sugar for subtle sweetness, and hot red pepper flakes for heat. With the dressing in place, we moved on to the protein component of our Thai-style beef salad recipe, preferring flank steak as the cut that best complemented the flavors of the dressing and slicing it thin across the grain to ensure the meat’s tenderness.
