Chicken with White Wine, Tarragon, and Cream
This recipe is simple to prepare, yet elegant enough for a special occasion.
Why This Recipe Works
To end of up with tender chicken breasts for our slow-cooker chicken with white wine, tarragon, and cream recipe, we browned the chicken breasts with their skin on to help render fat and add extra flavor before cooking them in a slow cooker for four hours. Cremini mushrooms were able to withstand the long cooking time better than button mushrooms. To keep the tarragon flavor from waning in our chicken with white wine, tarragon, and cream recipe, we decided to stir it into the sauce right before serving.
