Ripe peaches that are still a bit firm are perfect for roasting, where the heat from the oven can works its magic, rendering peaches that are soft and incredibly juicy.
Why This Recipe Works
We began our pan-roasted peaches recipe by melting a little butter in the skillet. We then sprinkled our peaches with sugar and placed them cut side down in the skillet. In no time, the peaches were beginning to caramelize to a nice brown color. With caramelization achieved, we transferred our peaches to the oven to roast until tender.
