Skillet Chicken and Rice with Mushrooms and Green Beans
It was no small feat to end up with properly cooked ingredients, all in one pan, all ready at the same time.
Why This Recipe Works
For our best skillet chicken and rice recipe, we had to determine how to cook the ingredients in concert, with a perfect result. After much testing, we determined that browning bone-in breasts, adding the rice, and then removing the chicken when it was done while letting the rice continue to cook to completion worked best. The key to perfectly cooked rice was unconventional: We stirred the rice after removing the chicken, which promoted even cooking in our skillet chicken and rice recipe.
