Ingredients: 8 , ice cream sandwiches; 3 pints, strawberry ice cream, softened; 1 cup, hot fudge sauce, warmed; 1 cup, heavy cream, whipped; 1/3 cup, walnuts, chopped; 1 , ripe banana, peeled, halved lengthwise, and sliced; 1 , maraschino cherry for garnish (optional)

Festive ice cream cakes are always a summer favorite. Our version duplicates the flavor of a banana split made with strawberry ice cream-with the added twist of ice cream sandwiches. Topped with gooey hot fudge, whipped cream, nuts, and a cherry (if you like), this is a cake you'll go bananas for.
