Ingredients: 2 pounds, russet potatoes, peeled, quartered, and cut into 1-inch chunks; 4 tablespoons, unsalted butter, melted; 1/2 teaspoon, table salt; 1/8 teaspoon, ground black pepper; 1/2 - 3/4 cup, half-and-half, hot; 3 tablespoons, sour cream; 2 cups, shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese
