Glazed Meatloaf

Name: Glazed Meatloaf
Yield: Serves 6 to 8
Ingredients: 1 cup, ketchup; 1/4 cup, packed brown sugar; 2 1/2 tablespoons, cider vinegar; 1/2 teaspoon, hot sauce; 2 teaspoons, vegetable oil; 1 , onion, chopped fine; 2 , garlic cloves, minced; 2/3 cup, Saltine crackers, crushed (about 17 crackers); 1/3 cup, whole milk; 1 pound, 90-percent lean ground beef (see note); 1 pound, ground pork; 2 large, eggs plus 1 large yolk; 2 teaspoons, Dijon mustard; 2 teaspoons, Worcestershire sauce; 1/2 teaspoon, dried thyme; 1/3 cup, finely chopped fresh parsley; , Salt and pepper

Over the years, meatloaves have been dressed up and down every which way. Our goal was to make meatloaf special again, which we did by combining pork and beef and using a panade to add structure.
